A short comic strip to communicate to my supporters the change on Patreon and Tipeee platforms from a per-content model to a monthly support model starting in 2026.
Panel 1. A cartoony little witch, named Pepper, probably 9 years old on this comic, with her red cat, Carrot. She screams through a megaphone with a loudness symbol, and Carrot has big eyes because he wasn't prepared.
Pepper: (big and bold): "Important message!"
Pepper: "My Patreon & Tipeee platforms are changing to a monthly subscription model starting in 2026."
Panel 2. Pepper shrugs after throwing the megaphone. Carrot recovers from the sound.
Pepper: "Now, instead of supporting my work 'per new Pepper&Carrot episode', you'll only have the option to support me monthly."
Panel 2b (small inset in Panel 2). Pepper's face shows her anger, but she tries to refrain it.
Pepper: "Was it my choice? No! I was forced, like all 'per content' creators..."
Panel 3. Carrot has a big wrench, and up on a ladder, he adjusts some cogs.
Pepper: "But, before I explain more, I invite all my Tipeee and Patreon supporters to adjust their donations."
Panel 4. Pepper crouches down, petting a happy little wallet with a smile.
Pepper: "It's okay to lower your donation to adapt to the new monthly support model." Pepper: "Be kind to your wallet!"
Panel 5. Pepper and Carrot are both now on a platform, surrounded by screens displaying the thumbnails of MiniFantasyTheater episodes.
Pepper: "This change is also the reason why I started posting weekly comic strips every wednesday since last summer."
Panel 6. Pepper proudly sits on one side of a scale labeled "Weekly comic strip", with a large present on the other side, labeled "Monthly support".
Pepper: "I wanted to see if I could sustain giving you something weekly before I had to switch to monthly support, which I knew was coming."
Panel 7. A graphic split into three categories: "Weekly comic strips" illustrated by the quick jumps of a rabbit, "Pepper&Carrot episode" illustrated by the long flight of a crane, and "Bonus: tutorials, reviews, brushes, etc..." illustrated by the randomness of a cat.
Pepper: "AAnd all of that while producing long Pepper&Carrot episodes and bonuses behind the scenes."
Panel 8. Pepper sits in a yoga pose, looking relaxed and happy.
Pepper: "And it worked!" Pepper: "I even found a good personal balance doing that."
Panel 9. Pepper with a big syringe filled with bills, injecting them into a bag of money labeled "budget".
Pepper: "But I'm also a bit nervous about these changes because, to make it work, I have to totally stop doing freelance work."
Pepper: "I often relied on that in my 'per-creation' model: a nice safety net, but unfortunately, also very time-consuming between my new creations."
Panel 10. Pepper's silhouette, from behind, staring at the horizon with a mix of uncertainties and opportunities.
Pepper: "Maybe this change will bring me the financial stability I need? Or maybe this change will turn bad and force me to stop everything and return to doing only freelance work..."
Pepper: "This uncertainty is crushing me."
Panel 11. Carrot is holding a big heart plushy.
Pepper: "So more than ever, I need your help."
Pepper: "Again, a big thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last 10 years, and who will keep supporting me after this change."
Panel 12. Pepper holds a hat, and coins are collected in it; some coins fly towards it. She looks happily surprised.
Pepper: "And to everyone else, if you enjoy my work, please consider becoming my patron! Sending me a little coin each month can really help me!"
Pepper: "You'll find all the links below, or in my bio. Thank you for reading!"
